great cabinet

Cinnamon Cherry Mobile Sewing Finish

Cinnamon Cherry Mobile Sewing Finish

I bought this cabinet online at this same price but with free shipping to a local Walmart. Shop around because it is available at many sites for vastly differing prices ($99.99-$249.99). If shipping is charged it is generally about $50.00. This is a wonderful piece. It is heavy and very well made. Best of all it looks like a nice little cabinet when shut and can be rolled wherever you like. It does not look cheap and works well with my antique furniture. I use in my entry way accented with a scarf and lamp and roll it into the living room or kitchen when I am working on a project. The 60 inch width when opened is superior to drafting tables in this price range which run 36 to 48 inches wide. There is ample storage in shelving and bins, and a chair can be pulled all the way in with plenty of knee room when the drop leaf is extended. It was not difficult to put together. The only problem we had was that the hole that secured the metal peg that supports the drop leaf had to be widened to make it function easier. That being said, it stands up perfectly to heavy use in my art work. This was a steal for the money. I have priced similar units in many places and only the pricey ones can compete with this item. I always check Amazon first because their product selection and service is generally unbeatable. In this case, Walmart proved the better deal. Wherever it is purchased, it deserves 5 stars.

  1. I ordered this item on March 28, 2012 from Amazon. I received it 6 days later!!!! Nothing was broken or missing, it was packed well. And it went together with ease, probably a couple hours. I am so PLEASED with this cart, it looks nice, it's sturdy and rich looking. I know if I ever need a piece of furniture that has to be assembled, I truely will look at Sauder first. Thank you so much for the great service, the great buy and a beautiful piece of furniture and the bonus of "free shipping".

  2. I bought this for my occasional crafts hobby. But it turned out so useful with big divided bins on your left that are great for pens and stationary, I've been using it everyday as a computer desk to work at home.

The quality of the wood and parts are more than I expected from the price. Each board is very sturdy, and was labeled clearly. The holes where screws go in were well marked and pre-made, so I didn't need elbow grease or electric drill -- all I needed was usual plus and minus screw drivers and a small hammer. I'm a skinny woman without much muscles, but built the desk on my own in 2-3 hours. If you have built furniture from Ikea, you can build this desk easily, and with much less (or no) blisters. Sauder packaged it extremely well -- they put "Sauder package protection guards" at each side so that corners wouldn't get damaged accidentally during delivery.

Some nice features I discovered only during putting this desk together were follows:
    1. Each door securely close with magnets placed at the top corner.
    2. Inside the right-side door has two adjustable shelves -- you can choose from 15 levels of hight.
    3. The two plastic bins attached inside the left-side door are detachable -- tighten the screws all the way, and loose them back just a little. The bins stay there securely, but also can be easily taken off by just pulling them up. They stand as themselves on the desk, even you fill the bins with tons of pens! Also the bins have 5 each compartments -- or you can remove the dividers to accommodate bigger stuff.
    4. The bins have a BIG capacity! Each is about 4x4x4 inches, 5 per bin, and two bins come in with a desk.
    5. Two front rolling feet have locks, so you can keep the desk stable when needed.
    6. Top of the left door has a secure bar to keep the folding table in place when in use.
    7. The bottom shelf in middle is also perfect as a foot rest while working on the desk.

I really recommend this table for everyone who long for a nice spacious desk with organizing feature but want to hide it compact at snap when they have a sudden guest.

  3. I ordered the Cinnamon Cherry Craft and Mobile Sewing Cart despite it not having any reviews, and I absolutely love it so I thought I would share my opinion with other potential buyers. The box it comes in is extremely heavy, which I took as a good sign of its quality. The pieces are labeled, pristine, and the instructions are easy to follow. I only needed a screw driver and a hammer to finish the job. I did get one blister because it said not to use a power drill. Not a big deal.

Once I was finished, I rolled my cart over to its final resting spot and loaded it up with fabric, thread, my sewing machine, my tools (rotary cutter, scissors, pins, etc), multiple ongoing projects, and still had plenty of room left over. I love the drawers that are attached inside the doors on the left side.

The finish goes well with my dark wood furniture and it looks extremely nice whether I have my supplies out and around or if I have everything neatly put away. Glad I took the chance and ordered this, great value for the price and extremely functional.

  4. This table is great. My husband put it together in about 1- 2 hours. We don't have a lot of space but it fit perfectly where I wanted it to go, even with the drop leaf up. I haven't used it for it's intended purpose much because I am new at sewing, but this cart is pretty nice. I was able to store all my sewing accessaries and my machine and close it up and away from my toddler. I even put a plastic sliding lock on it to make sure she can't open the cabinet or storage doors. It looks really nice too and is very sturdy. I got an iMac for Christmas and I am using it partime as a desk. I can even put the computer to the side on the drop leaf when I need to so I can look up video projects and follow along with my machine right there.

  5. Extremely pleased with the sewing cart. I put it together myself without my husbands help. It did take me several hours but I had never used cam screws before and it took me awhile to figure them out, however it makes a much sturdier cabinet. Also it is not as large as most of the sewing carts on the market so it fits in my small office space along with my sewing supplies.

  7. After reading all of the reviews before purchasing this item, I was still surprised about how nice it was when I got it. For the price, it couldn't be more perfect. I love the color and tone, as it matches my other furniture in my office. It has great storage and the organizer/containers that attach to the swinging door surprising hold A LOT! There were two pieces of my item that came a little damaged in the box, but the company was great. You just go on their website and place an order for those items and I had them delivered to my door free of any charges within a week. I have yet to open the container with the undamaged pieces, so we will see how they are...but I expect them to be in great condition. This piece has everything that I was looking for....compact, great style, good storage...and the open area seems like it will hold A LOT. Right now I have a new serger in that area in it's box, along with two bags of batting and a lot of fabric...and the door storage containers full of sewing necessities. I would highly recommend this item.
