Beautiful table with very minor flaws

Rounded Square Dining Cappuccino Finish

I love the design of this table. It's really pretty, and the color is quite nice. We ordered some cappuccino finish chairs that are also made by Coaster (Side Chair with Cross Back Design), and the table is just a tad bit lighter than the chairs and has a very, very slightly more red tone than the chairs do. They match pretty well though; the difference is really minor. The table is really sturdy and was easy to put together. The table legs have levelers in the bottoms so that you can stabilize it on an uneven floor if needed, which is nice. My only complaint would be that the table has a few nicks in the finish, mostly very minor, which clearly had to have been there before it was shipped (it was packaged really well and therefore shouldn't have happened during the shipping process). I really mean minor. They're small spots without finish, just a few mm in diameter, not big scratches or gouges. None of them were enough for us to send it back. The top of the table is pretty clear of nicks. Most of them are on the legs, and one is on a side of the shelf. A few dabs of a wood finish marker and they're blended well-enough. We turned the one spot that was slightly worse than the others--the one on the shelf--toward the wall, too, just in case. If you want a perfectly unblemished table, you probably shouldn't be ordering one online anyway. If a few minor blemishes aren't going to bother you, it's a really great table.

PostSecret Extraordinary Confessions Ordinary Lives

The "postcards" in this book were collected as part of an art project, but it's just as much a psychology experiment. Imagine a world where you can learn people's innermost secrets...the good, the bad, the sexy, the hilariously funny, and the devastatingly sad...and you've got "PostSecret: Extraordinary Confessions from Ordinary Lives."

Some of the material is odd, but you can imagine a person telling her closest friend, like the card showing women's feet with the admission, "I show pictures of my feet to a man online so he'll buy me stuff."

Some is joyous, but with a sad undertone, such as a close-up of a baby's face with this written across it: "For the first time since I was a baby I am finally happy. I'm 28." You want to congratulate the person, but it's also a little sad to think that he or she went so long without being happy.

In the devastatingly sad category, I include one in which someone tells a friend that he or she is glad the friend's uncle died because he had molested the writer when he/she was in 7th grade. That's a tough thing to tell a friend, and at least as tough to hear.

The lighter side includes such overtly funny admissions as, "I used to get high and watch Lawrence Welk." and the highly understandable "I waste office supplies because I hate my boss."

If you think I've given it all away here, believe me, there is SO much more. In fact, while I love the book, I recommend reading it in several sittings - it's VERY emotional in many sections and can be downright overwhelming if you approach it with too much empathy. Then again, if you don't, you're likely to miss half the humanity of this very moving book.

Convenience Concepts 143012 Sheridan Ottomans

These items are covered in faux leather, but they look VERY good. 10 out of 10 for appearance. And they look like they will last (I have a similar faux leather seat cover that has lasted over 30 years) - the stitching is nicely done.

The storage bench is very solid, but not too heavy. The top flips so that you can either use it as a padded bench, or flip it over to use as a coffee table.

The 2 ottomans are nicely sized, and very light. Although the top of the ottoman is padded and sturdy enough to sit on - the sides are just the faux leather over a frame. So if you're looking for something that you can put weight on its side (although I don't know why you would) then these aren't for you. But they work fine as footrests or little benches.

For $99 and free shipping - these are worth every penny and look good.

I'm an iPhone case enthusiast so I have a bunch of them and this is by far one of my absolute favorites. It lights up the entire back and even the sides of my phone when I make or receive a phone call and even when it detects frequencies, like messages. My 5 year old son is mesmerized and loves to notify me when my phone lights up, since I might be getting a call.
It would make a great gift and would be the talk of the party if you decided to show it off. I can't understand why we don't start making these things in the States so that we could have more selection and better access.
Oh well - once again China is light years ahead of us in technology. This little cover only costs a few bucks and will make you smile. Just buy it! :)

ZeptoLab Pudding Monsters

I searched FOREVER trying to decide on a fan for my new Vaio but I couldn't bring myself to spend a bunch of money on something I couldn't examine first. So I finally broke down and bought this one because it was cheap and got decent reviews. When I got it I was glad that the fans were positioned perfectly for the vents on my laptop. You would think the light would be annoying but it's really not noticable once you sit the laptop on it.

My only gripes are that the fans are open on the bottom so you can't sit it on your lap or bed or w/e without sitting a book or a laptop stand up under the fan. Also the other side of the usb hookup is fairly sharp and I'm always scratching myself on it by accident :( but it doesn't do any real damage it's just a bit of a nuisance.

To date my computer has never shut down due to overheating and for a cheap little laptop cooler it works perfectly. I would highly reccomend at least giving it a try.
