Iroman Capacity Memory Inversion Table

Iroman Capacity Memory Inversion Table

Chronic back pain with frequent flare-ups that crippled me for days at a time made me decide to try an inversion table. As a big man, I was afraid that most of the other tables out there wouldn't hold me safely - and I sure didn't want to fall on my head! So after much deliberation and a ton of research I decided to purchase the Ironman Model 5800.

I use it two to three times a day, most days. Just for a few minutes. I'm even doing some inverted crunches! I wake up feeling good instead of wondering whether I'll stand up crooked. I love it!

A couple of small Con's... the button on the gizmo that holds your ankles arrived broken. (I called Paradigm, and they shipped me two replacements immediately!) It's plastic, and apparently gets broken during shipping quite frequently. They really should make this piece out of metal, since it's used so much. Another problem is the Pivot Arm Ring attaches to the frame and the Handlebar, making it impossible to just remove the bed from the frame for moving or storage. If you think you're gonna fold this up and put it in the closet every day... think again! This requires a substantial amount of space.

The Pro's are that this thing is solid. I am not concerned about falling off or having this collapse under my weight. It's easy to use, and seems to be doing a great job for me! At this price, it's certainly worth a try!

  1. purchased after a recommendation from my chiropractor. i was a bit skeptical but i have to say i do think it is helping my back issues. for the last few days i have used it twice a day for about 5 min each session. my lower back issues seem to be improving already.

this is VERY well built. i am 5'10 about 260 and it easily holds me securely. padding is comfortable as are the ankle pads. assembly was easy and only took me about 20 min to assemble.

after using this for about a month i am still VERY happy with the purchase. table has held up well and i can see improvements in my back and flexibility.

  2. I am so happy we decided on this inversion table. It is sturdy, very well made and easy to use. My entire family has been using it, from my 10 year-old son, through the teens, and my husband and I. It is easy to adjust and I have no worries of it getting worn out.
    I could not be happier.
I did have to move some furniture to make a space for it but that is fine by me. :)
    Best purchase ever!

  3. In excellent condition. Works fantastic. A little hard to put together. Instructions were not always clear but we finally got it finished. The company sent it in a timely fashion and we felt it was at a good price. It is exactly as it was described.

  4. Order arived at my door very quickly for such a large item and with only one broken part.
The unit is very wide and stable. I'm 6'2" and 320 lbs. and this unit has no trouble with my weight.
I have a lower back injury from a farming accident and when the pain comes back, this unit helps alleviate it very effectively. It also helps with some hip joint pain as well.
If you're a larger individual I think you'll be happy you spent the extra money on this table, I know I am.

  6. Love my Ironman Inversion Table! Have been using it for about 6 months now, and have noticed great improvement in my back. I stand on my feet for most of the day and have had lower back issues for years. But now after a long day, I invert myself for 15 minutes, and let gravity do the opposing work on my back. The best is when you can hear you back crack into alignment. OH GOD, that feeling is better than anything! This gem is affordable and well worth the cost in comparison to what I've paid chiropractors in the past. In addition to this I also use a High Density Foam roller for floor work j/fit 18" Black High Density Foam Roller Both keep me aligned and relieved after a long days work :)

  7. I was suprised to find out how well this unit was made. Heavy tubular steel, well designed and easy to put together. I was leaning towards the "Teeter" system but glad I chose Ironman for the money and quality. I live in a trailer with lower than nomal ceiling height and I can still suspend vertical. I can't attest to any tremendous theraputic benefits but it does exactly what I wanted and expected.....

  8. This is a great product at a great price--I have been wanting an inversion table for years and finally took the plunge! I researched different models, different types and talked with many people who have purchased one--you rarely find used ones for sale (that should tell you something!). The Ironman Table is excellent for the price--easy to lock your feet and unlock; very safe; very comfortable; and it does the job. My whole family has been using it at least once a day and it is the best purchase I have made in years!

  9. This went together easily with two people helping. Easy to follow directions. Love the pad on the backrest. Very comfortable. Easy to use and adjust. Sturdy.
However, after opening the box and looking at the instructions...there is a warning that people with various medical conditions should not use this device. Wish I would have seen this list prior to purchasing. I have glaucoma and need to check with my eye doctor frequently to check eye pressure.
Other than this the table is well made and a good buy for the money.
