Great solution

Nordic Ware MIcrowave Micro Go Round Inch

Nordic Ware MIcrowave Micro Go Round Inch

Searching for a replacement for this have-to-have kitchen essential, I ended up with a list of Rodgers and Hammerstein musicals. This is what happens when one types "microwave carousel" into the search engine. So, please excuse me if I simultaneously sing Great Old Show Tunes and write this review ;-)

Like the Timex watches in the old commercials, these Microwave turntables take a lickin' and keep on tickin'! The one that I am replacing today has been a faithful friend for about 10 years, and its manually wound spring has finally sprung. It had a lot of hard wear along the way. These hardy handy-dandy Nordic helpers are indispensable for those whose microwave does not have a built-in Carousel. One need not interrupt one's TV viewing to get up to turn one's nuking TV dinner that pesky 1/4 turn that the meal maker mandates. The Micro-Go-Round does it for you:

  1. Turntables were not standard equipment when I bought my microwave, so several years ago I bought a Compact Micro Go Round by Nordic turntable for it. It recently broke after many years of faithful service. I was surprised and pleased to see that they are still available. This one is much better then the one I had....more sensitive to pressure, to start the motion. I love it, and received it in a few days.

  2. The first one only lasted ten years.

Probably wouldn't have needed the second one if I hadn't over wound the first.

  3. If your microwave oven doesn't have a revolving turntable this little device will solve the problem. No more stopping to turn the plate. The turntable automatically turns the plate and your food is heated evenly throughout. This is a durable product. I love it!

  6. I had one of these little creatures for 15 years, It is the best thing since sliced bread. I wind it up for a few winds, and let her go, she does all she is cracked up to do. Never had a problem till last week, she died on me. Not bad after 15 years though. I got another. Hope this one lasts as long.

  7. I have had mine for 15 years and it still turns but I have to wind it up each time. It lasted for 14 years with continued use so I have searched in all the stores and couldn't find it. My Microwave is 22 years old and still working (Knock on Wood). It was great to have the Turntable because I had to always turn it myself. You wind it and when you place something on it it turns automatically. It is stained and old but I love this product so much that I ordered a new one and this time I ordered the cover with it. I am so glad I thought of looking at Amazon to see if they had it. I love Amazon because they have just about everything.
